Immune Witnesses
2003 | 6 minutes | DV | Animation
HIV is a constant but often invisible presence that many of us don't take seriously. This animation explores the reactions of my friends and family to the existence of HIV and the threat it poses. I asked them a few questions and their responsed ranged from those who simply don't want to think about it to those who get tested regulary and are extremely vigilant about safe sex. I superimposed these written comments over an animated sequence portraying the life cycle of the HIV virus.

Spectacle in the Streets

This animation was made a few months after I had attended the Quebec City anti-Free Trade Area of the Americas protests in 2001. This was also at a time when I was attending frequent protests in Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa. It is a compilation of some of the scenes I witnessed while taking part in street action.
